What Products are Available

At Officefurniturebox.com we work closely with a number of UK factories, as well as a couple of specially selected European factories, to make sure we're offering you the best products at competitive prices. We try to maintain a good balance between working with the right factories, but also making sure that we have enough of the right products available to suit your needs. Now this isn't always easy, but by keeping this balance in check we've been able to develop a flexible yet reliable portfolio of products.

By working with a number of factories, we're able to offer our clients a larger variety of options than we otherwise could. We don't just have to sell you what's convenient or available: we can really explore your needs to find the ideal solution for you. This is really important to us, because we like to make sure that you're absolutely delighted with both the service and products that you receive.

This flexibility also extends into pricing and delivery times. Whilst we only sell products that we have confidence in, we do have ranges that vary across different qualities and price points. Whatever your budget, we can find a style to suit you, and often in the time that you need as well. The majority of our furniture is made to order, but if you come to us in need of something quickly then we can often help. Of course your options will be more limited, but we do have ranges that can be delivered from stock in just a few days.

We're often told that someone would like something a bit different to the standard designs that we have, and we can nearly always accommodate! If you have an idea for a variation on a current range, or need a size that you can't see, then just get in touch and we'll see what we can do for you.

If you have the time, and want to take a look at some of the products that we have on offer, then feel free to book in at one of our factory showrooms. We'll take you round the showrooms and help you to formulate and visualise ideas about how best to furnish your office.

The key thing to remember when looking at office furniture is that we're always available to talk. For advice, queries or comments, we always like to hear from you - so make sure you get in touch by email, phone or on our live messenger for non-pushy, friendly help and advice!

Stacking Chairs

Bolt chair
The Bolt stacking chair
Boardroom and conference seating is an important part of any office setup. It's important to make sure that everyone feels comfortable and welcome in your business, and offering up a comfortable seat is an essential part of this. A key consideration when it comes to conference seating is what to do with your chairs when they're not in use: it's all well and good catering for every guest, but when there aren't so many visitors, what then?

Sting Chair
Sting chair and trolley
Stackable chairs are the perfect solution to this potential problem. When they're not needed they can be piled together for easy transport and storage. This seems like a very simple solution, but not all meeting chairs have this capability, and it can cause problems! If your meeting chairs are for use in a permanent space, a boardroom for example, then this won't be an issue, although areas with more flexible needs, such as training and meeting rooms, have very different requirements.

Wap Chair

One day you might need fifty seats for a presentation or meeting, and the next you might need a clear room for practical training exercises - how would you clear this space without stackable chairs? You couldn't! This is an issue that's often overlooked, because storage isn't often first thing you think about when buying chairs.

When such a basic storage solution is so readily available, why would you want to complicate things? Stack and store your chairs for a hassle free and flexible workspace!

Chair Vs Chair!

twitterpinterestfacebook

We all like to find a balance between a quality, comfortable chair and paying the right price. Although the big question is: how do we know we're getting a good quality chair without having to pay over the odds? It's difficult to say, but there are a few key signs that you can look out for to help you decide which chair is best for you.

Orangebox Joy
Customise fabric finishes
From a design point of view, the lead time can be a good indication of how flexible the style is to suit your needs. If a chair is available in a week or so, then it will be a stock item and available in a limited number of variables. This will make it as cheap as possible, but it will restrict the options that are available to you in terms of designs, styles and fabrics. If you're willing to wait a few weeks, however, then we have plenty of chairs that are made to order which you can customise to suit your needs. You can play around with fabrics, and with some designs you can custom select the adjustable options as well. For example, some chairs can accommodate sliding seats, synchronised tilting mechanisms, adjustable lumbar supports etc, so you can create a chair to offer flexible support to any user. You will pay a bit more for this privilege, but if you have specific needs to meet then it's got to be worth it!

Another factor that you will need to consider is the guarantee. If the manufacturer is confident in the quality of their products then you should be too. Equally however, if they're not offering much in the way of a warranty then you might have to be wary that over time the functionality of the parts might deteriorate.

The important thing to consider is the balance between getting the right product at the right price. Take the following as an example:

Teknik Price Blaster
Teknik Price Blaster

The 'Price Blaster' is designed with value for money in mind, and from that perspective it's a fantastic chair. It's available from stock, with a one year guarantee and a choice of three fabrics. It's a favourite for home offices, where use is often more sporadic and short term. The Price Blaster represents a very cost effective choice, in a basic style with stock upholstery options available.

Air Force chair
The Force Chair

A popular alternative is the 'Force' chair, which offers more of a balance between value and quality. It is made to order, often in around 2-3 weeks, and features a five year guarantee. You can choose from hundreds of different fabrics at different price points, including dual upholstery at no extra cost. The Force also has a few different arms to choose from, as well as other adjustable options that make it a very flexible chair design. As you look at long term value for money, paying only 50% or so more for a chair with five times the guarantee starts to make a lot of sense!

At a glance these look like relatively similar chairs, but once you actually get into the nitty gritty of the designs there's a big difference between the two. When comparing prices it's important to make sure you're comparing like for like products. To be sure you're getting the best value for your money, you have to look at more than just the first impressions of the chairs.

If you're ever unsure about the value of a chair, then our sales team are always on hand to offer you advice and guidance on how to get the most out of your budget. We don't go in for pushy upselling - we like to give you the best possible advice to help you get exactly what you need, in the hope that you'll keep coming back to us for all your office furniture needs.

It's not uncommon for the majority of businesses to hear grumbled phrases about things not always being 'how they used to be'. Our nostalgia for traditional designs, techniques and practices certainly extends into the office furniture industry, and we can definitely see why. There have been some beautiful furniture designs over the years, designs that for many are proving difficult to let go.

Traditional designs have been expertly reproduced for the current market by utilising modern manufacturing techniques.

Traditional production methods have been modernised to make our reproduction furniture more environmentally and commercially viable, whilst the finish quality of the furniture remains as good as it has ever been. The ranges feature the top quality leathers and veneers that you'd expect, whilst the recent advancements in manufacturing techniques mean that reproduction furniture doesn't necessarily have to come with the intimidating price tag that it was once associated with.

We know that different businesses need to portray a different image to their clients, and that the traditional style won't suit everyone, but for those that want to illustrate their affiliation with the classical designs this is a fantastic option.

Call Centre Furniture

A Modern Call Centre Design

Call centre operations are rapidly returning to the UK. After a short period of high volumes of work being outsourced to India and the Far East, the need for call centre furniture in the UK is on the rise once again. Call centre furniture differs from more conventional office setups because they have to accommodate different needs - they generally need less space per user, but more sound insulation than traditional office environments. Slightly contradictory needs when you consider that the employer will want to fit in as many workers as possible!

traditional call centre cluster
Traditional Call Centre Cluster
The issue of sound insulation has led to a general shift away from the more traditional cluster designs of call centre furniture in favour of linear bench desks. This has the big advantage of spreading the directions in which the sound can travel - rather than having everyone talking into the same central point. If users are positioned in a rectangular configuration, as oppose to a traditional cluster, then they will face less distractions and be able to communicate on the phone more succinctly.

dividing screens
Dividing Screens Add Privacy
The use of dividing screens are also a very effective way of reducing noise pollution in your call centre. They create a more personal workstation for each user, and act as a barrier for travelling sounds. Upholstered screens in particular are a great way of insulating sound to minimise the effect it has on surrounding workers. That's not to say that call centre workers will become cocooned within their own workstations of course, as the surrounding space can be made light and open to encourage social interaction.

Create a Relaxing Breakout Area
The development of breakout areas in large call centre environments encourage the social element of office work. They provide a space for employees to eat their lunch and catch up with colleagues, and have become a proven way of encouraging good job satisfaction. It might sound like a very basic addition to your call centre, but breakout areas provide employees with a space away from their desk to relax and regenerate. They really help to boost productivity, comfort and job satisfaction - all of which are integral to the success of your business!

Under desk storage
We all know how difficult it is to maintain a tidy workspace, and how detrimental a messy desk can be for your productivity. A good storage system is a great way of making sure that it's as easy as possible for you to keep on top of your files and keep your desk clutter free. Although we can't make you be organised, we can definitely make it easier for you with our extensive selection of office storage options.

Pedestal storage is very popular for maintaining a tidy desk - to the extent that it's becoming rare for us to sell a desk without an accompanying pedestal! They are available in a variety of heights and styles, from low mobile storage to desk height units that act as a worktop extension as well as a set of drawers. Under desk pedestals often also feature castors to make them mobile for flexible use with hot desks. This type of storage is popular because it has the option of combining shallow drawers with deeper filing drawers, which can include foolscap filing systems: allowing you to have an entire filing system under your desk!

Flexible storage

That's not to say that we expect you to store all of your paperwork under your desk... you're going to need more comprehensive storage systems to help you keep on top of everything. Large cupboards and fitted storage are ideal options for tailoring your storage needs to suit the nature of your business. They allow you to flexibly choose the internal fittings that you require, whether they be regular shelves, pull out shelves, foolscap filing rails, pigeon hole units or anything else that you may need. These internal units can be built into custom made fitted storage (to save you plenty of space), or our standard size cupboards that are flexible to suit most office shapes and sizes.
